Durational performance: 2 hours sewing a continuous loop of fabric while listening to the cries of a neglected child. The performance acknowledges the exhausting and monotonous work done by these women, keeping them from their families. The sound layers readings extolling idealized domesticity and a crying baby, reflecting the pressures on working mothers at the turn of the 20thc and today.
